HEAL for Reentry is a nonprofit dedicated to helping Native American, Asian Pacific Islander and other Aboriginal people overcome the challenge of reentering the community after incarceration. Our board consists of professionals who’ve served the incarcerated Native population during incarceration.

Currently we are offering up our expertise to tribes to support tribal reentry programs and connection to tribal members during incarceration; our goal is to help other reentry programs grow. Our incarcerated brothers and sisters cannot overcome the challenge of recidivism unless we all work together to address their many needs.

HEAL’s first endeavor was to create reentry drum of formerly incarcerated brothers and sisters to be a presence at DOC annual pow wows, which was successful.  2017 is the third year the HEAL for Reentry drum will be going in to DOC facilities to support our brothers and sisters during their annual powwows.
